Cyberabad traffic police advise early logout and WFH due to rain forecast
Organisations in the Cyberabad area have been requested to implement staggered timings from November 3 to 5 to manage heavy rainfall.
Cyberabad traffic police have advised IT companies and other organisations in the Cyberabad area to consider work-from-home (WFH) and early logout options from November 3 to 5. According to reports by Deccan Chronicle and Urban Acres, the advisory comes in response to a forecast of moderate to heavy rainfall in the region.
The police have requested that organisations adopt staggered logout timings starting from 2 pm, with a preference for completing the process by 4 pm. This is intended to lower traffic congestion and decrease travel risks for commuters during the rainy weather.
The advisory also urges companies to permit employees to work remotely wherever it is feasible during the three-day period. The police stated that these steps aim to improve commuter safety and ensure that emergency services can move without disruption.
The measures do not mandate office closures or compulsory WFH, as individual companies will decide how to implement these suggestions based on their specific requirements. The request is designed to prevent a simultaneous release of workers, which can increase congestion on busy roads.
Organisations have been asked to email their office locations and planned logout schedules to the Cyberabad Traffic Police at [email protected]. This information will assist officials in planning traffic management around employment clusters during the forecast period.
