Telangana CM orders student feedback on school uniform designs
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy wants students to choose the colours and quality of their school attire for the next academic year.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to collect opinions from students regarding the appearance and material of uniforms provided to government schools, according to ANI. The directive was issued during a review meeting focused on the distribution of kits and clothing to students in hostels and residential educational institutions.
Reddy said the final selection of uniform patterns and shades should be based on what the majority of students prefer. He noted that the new uniforms should be more appealing and of better quality than those provided in previous years.
During the meeting, officials stated that the delivery of school kits—which include items such as shoes, socks, bags, belts, ties, and identity cards—is nearly finished. They reported that distribution by certain organisations has reached about 95 per cent completion.
The Chief Minister directed that all remaining items must be delivered quickly so that no student misses out on government supplies. He also called for an immediate action plan to ensure all materials are ready by the first day schools reopen.
Reddy instructed departments to create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the procurement and distribution of kits for the upcoming academic year. He stated that every step, from tendering to supply, must be finished within the required timeframes through better coordination between organisations.
