Two Madhya Pradesh labourers killed in Gujarat vehicle fire
The families of the victims have alleged that the vehicle was deliberately set on fire following a dispute over money and parking.
Two labourers from Madhya Pradesh’s Alirajpur district died after the vehicle they were sleeping in caught fire in a Gujarat field around midnight on Monday, according to The Times of India.
The victims, 21-year-old Nitin Ramsingh Pachaya and a 16-year-old boy, were found charred inside the vehicle early Tuesday morning at Gunderan village in Amreli district.
The families of the deceased have alleged that a man identified as Vinod set the vehicle ablaze following a dispute regarding a monetary transaction and vehicle parking.
The victims had been working on a farm in Lilia tehsil for approximately four months.
The field where the incident occurred belongs to Ashwinbhai Jivabhai Kachhadiya and is managed by Suresh Patel, according to a relative of the farm owner named Ramesh.
Gujarat police and an FSL team have collected evidence from the spot. Police have registered a case and detained some suspects for questioning while they examine all possible angles, including the allegation of arson.
