The franchise aims to nurture young talent through clinics and a junior academy following the Green Fuels Maritime Invitational 2026.

The East Point Golf Club (EPGC) in Visakhapatnam hosted the Green Fuels Maritime Invitational 2026, which is part of the AM Green IGPL league, according to Telangana Today. This marks the first time the league has held an event at the EPGC.

Vizag Dolphins GC, owned by Green Fuel Global Trading Pvt. Ltd., intends to use the tournament as a step toward a long-term plan to grow the sport in the city. The franchise plans to establish golf clinics and a junior academy with support from the IGPL to train children at the grassroots level.

Sudhakar Kaligithi, Managing Director of the Green Fuels Group and co-owner of Vizag Dolphins GC, said the goal is to nurture young talent in Vizag and develop them into Olympic players. He noted that the sport has international recognition and is an Olympic sport.

The league has introduced a new speed-golf format called X-Golf to attract younger audiences. AM Green IGPL CEO Uttam Singh Mundy said the format is played in a stadium style on one hole against the clock to make the sport more exciting for viewers.

EPGC Honorary Secretary SVR Raju thanked the Vizag Dolphins owners for their initiative in bringing the tournament to the city. Vice-President of EPGC TS Varma stated the club has a new clubhouse and a championship course that was renovated in 2020.

Vizag Dolphins GC plans to make the EPGC its home course. Director of Vizag Dolphins GC CH Rajasekhar said the vision is to make people understand the game and create interest through the new format.
