Makers release Hanuman Chalisa as Sunny Deol's glimpse goes viral
The devotional track features five singers and a video snippet teasing Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman for the film's sequel.
The makers of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Rise of a Legend released the official Hanuman Chalisa music video on November 5, 2026, according to India Today. The release coincides with the film's theatrical debut and follows a leaked post-credit sequence featuring actor Sunny Deol.
The Hanuman Chalisa track is a vocal collaboration between singers Sukhwinder Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, Mohit Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, and Kailash Kher. The accompanying video shows a massive silhouette of Lord Hanuman from behind, with the 69-year-old actor taking a gigantic leap while chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.
While Deol's face remains hidden in shadow, the sequence is intended to tease his full appearance in the second instalment. The first film focuses on events leading up to the abduction of Goddess Sita, while the sequel will feature Hanuman's role in locating her and leading the army against Ravana.
The production features a score composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Ramayana: Rise of a Legend stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Yash as Ravana.
Producer Namit Malhotra told E News that the team decided to take an additional year to complete the sequel to do justice to the scale of the film. The second instalment is scheduled for release during Diwali 2028.
