Class X girl readmitted to school after Nara Lokesh intervention

District officials facilitated the return of the student from Hyderabad to Nellore following instructions from the state education minister.

A Class X student who had stopped studying at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Kondapuram has been readmitted to school, according to the Deccan Chronicle.

The readmission followed an intervention by state education minister Nara Lokesh. The girl had previously posted a video on social media appealing to the minister to help her resume her studies while living with her father in Hyderabad.

Acting on instructions from Lokesh, Nellore district collector Himanshu Shukla formed a team comprising revenue, police, and education officials. The team brought the girl back from Hyderabad to facilitate her return to school.

Officials also counselled the girl's father regarding the importance of continuing her education. Collector Himanshu Shukla assured the student that the government would provide necessary support for her higher education.

The student thanked Lokesh for his response and stated she would study well to achieve her ambitions. Lokesh expressed appreciation for the efforts of collector Himanshu Shukla and SP Ajitha Vejendla in facilitating the process.
