Shiva and CS Amudhan begin filming Tamizh Padam 3
The production banner Y Not Studios announced on Thursday that the third instalment of the spoof comedy franchise has commenced shooting.
Production house Y Not Studios announced on Thursday, November 5, that filming for the spoof comedy film Tamizh Padam 3 has started. The third instalment of the franchise features actor Shiva and director CS Amudhan, according to The Hindu.
Athulya Ravi stars as the female lead in the upcoming film. A new poster released by the production house shows Shiva as 'Intergalactic Superstar' with the tagline 'Alien Athiyayam'.
The Tamizh Padam franchise, which launched in 2010, parodies popular Tamil cinema tropes and characters. The first film featured Shiva alongside Disha Pandey, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Vennira Aadai Moorthy, and Delhi Ganesh.
The sequel, Tamizh Padam 2: Police Athiyayam, was released in 2018 with Iswarya Menon in the female lead role. Shiva and Amudhan returned for that instalment, which included cast members such as Sathish, Santhana Bharathi, Manobala, R Sundarrajan, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Chetan.
Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S Sashikanth are producing the film under the Y Not Studios banner. Details regarding the plot and the remaining cast members for the third film are currently unknown.
