Livingstone and Edwards move to CSK in trade with SRH

Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad completed a four-player trade involving two overseas all-rounders and two fast bowlers.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have completed a four-player trade ahead of the 2027 Indian Premier League (IPL), according to reports from Telangana Today, Sportstar and Hindustan Times.

Under the deal, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone and Australian all-rounder Jack Edwards will move to CSK. In exchange, India left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed and Australian pacer Nathan Ellis will join SRH.

Livingstone, who was previously bought by SRH for Rs 13 crore, joins CSK for a reduced fee of Rs 6 crore. Edwards moves to Chennai on his existing fee of Rs 3 crore.

Khaleel returns to SRH, where he played from 2018 to 2021, at his current fee of Rs 4.8 crore. Ellis joins the Hyderabad-based franchise at his existing fee of Rs 2 crore.

Livingstone played only two games in the IPL 2026 season, while Edwards missed the season due to a foot injury. Khaleel's 2026 season was cut short after five games due to a right quadriceps injury, and Ellis also missed the season after aggravating a hamstring injury.

The IPL mini auction is scheduled to take place on December 16.
