Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have completed a four-player trade ahead of the 2027 Indian Premier League (IPL), according to reports by Hindustan Times, Deccan Herald and Sportstar.
England all-rounder Liam Livingstone and Australian Jack Edwards have moved to CSK. In exchange, Indian pacer Khaleel Ahmed and Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis have joined SRH.
Livingstone joins CSK at a reduced fee of Rs 6 crore, having previously been acquired by SRH for Rs 13 crore. Edwards joins CSK at his existing fee of Rs 3 crore.
SRH will acquire Khaleel Ahmed at his existing fee of Rs 4.8 crore. The left-arm pacer, who represented SRH from 2018 to 2021, returns to the franchise after taking 15 wickets in 14 matches for CSK during the 2025 season.
Nathan Ellis joins SRH at his existing fee of Rs 2 crore. An IPL release stated that Ellis brings T20 experience and adds to the pace-bowling resources of the Hyderabad-based franchise.
The trade comes ahead of the IPL retention announcement on November 17, with the mini auction scheduled for December 16.
