DDA sells 9,332 flats this financial year with 80 per cent growth
The Delhi Development Authority reported a significant increase in housing sales between April and October compared to the same period last year.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) sold 9,332 flats between April and October this year, marking a year-on-year growth of nearly 80 per cent, according to The Indian Express.
During the same period last year, the authority had sold 5,198 flats. Sales across the Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and High Income Group (HIG) categories in the first seven months of the current financial year have surpassed the total sales for each segment in the previous financial year.
The DDA stated that it sold 5,171 LIG units, 1,704 MIG units, and 820 HIG units between April and October. In the 2025–26 financial year, the authority sold 3,547 LIG flats, 1,580 MIG flats, and 404 HIG flats.
Narela, which was recently renamed Vindhyachal, accounted for over 90 per cent of the total sales so far this year. Officials said the area was boosted by infrastructure projects such as the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) and the proposed Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro extension.
The DDA said the increase in sales reflects growing public confidence and the impact of sustained efforts backed by the oversight of Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu. The authority has extended the booking period for ongoing housing schemes under a first-come, first-served system until December 31.
The ongoing schemes include the DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana 2025, DDA Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026, and DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana 2026.
