Bharat Parv 2026 attracts over 25,000 visitors in first three days

The cultural festival at Ekta Nagar showcases India's diverse crafts, regional cuisines, and traditional performances until November 15.

More than 25,000 people visited the Bharat Parv 2026 festival at Ekta Nagar, near the Statue of Unity, during its first three days, according to ANI. The event, which celebrates India's cultural diversity and the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' spirit, is being held from November 1 to 15.

The festival is organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in association with Gujarat Tourism. It features tourism pavilions from various states and Union Territories that display indigenous handicrafts, handloom products, and traditional art forms.

Visitors can view regional crafts such as Odisha's Pattachitra paintings, Assam's Muga silk, and Bihar's Madhubani paintings. Other attractions include Pashmina shawls from Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana's Pochampally Ikat sarees, and Gujarat's Patola and Ajrakh printing.

A culinary section with 25 food stalls offers regional dishes like Bihar's Litti Chokha, Rajasthan's Dal Baati, and West Bengal's Jhalmuri. Additionally, IIHM Shimla and IIHM Gandhinagar are conducting daily live cooking demonstrations at Studio Kitchens.

Gujarat Tourism stated that the event is intended to boost tourism, foster cultural exchange, and offer a stage for traditional artisans and regional food traditions. Evening cultural performances featuring folk music and traditional dances are also part of the schedule.

The Statue of Unity will remain open on Monday, November 9, for the Diwali vacation and festival, though the viewing gallery will be closed. Bharat Parv 2026 will continue at Ekta Nagar until November 15.
