Hyderabad: Fox Sagar Bridge construction targeted for completion by February 2027
Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner G Srijana has set a November 15 deadline for land acquisition for the proposed bridge.
Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G Srijana directed officials on Thursday to complete land acquisition for the proposed Fox Sagar Bridge by November 15. According to The Hindu, the Commissioner issued these instructions following an inspection of the bridge site and infrastructure works at Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction.
The Commissioner set a deadline of February 2027 for the construction of the main flyover at Fox Sagar. These projects are being carried out under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) programme.
Srijana instructed the Town Planning department to work with the Waqf Board and property owners to ensure land is transferred without legal or other encumbrances. This coordination is intended to facilitate the handover of land required for the projects at Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction.
The Engineering department has been told to execute the Fox Sagar flyover project systematically. Officials were also asked to speed up work at both the Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Junction to meet set deadlines.
The Commissioner emphasised that departments must coordinate better and address land acquisition matters quickly to avoid stalling key road infrastructure projects under the H-CITI initiative.
