The Karnataka government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees and pensioners from 15.75 per cent to 18 per cent of their basic pay. According to reports from The Hindu and ANI, the notification was issued on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

The government reaffirmed its intention to protect the interests of pensioners and employees and to ensure their public service is treated with respect.
