Train services resume in Rajasthan after railway track explosion

Several suspects have been detained by police following a blast near 50 GB village in the Ramsinghpur area.

Train services on the Suratgarh-Anupgarh railway section in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district have resumed after repairs and safety clearances, according to The Shillong Times on Thursday.

The explosion occurred on Tuesday night near 50 GB village in the Ramsinghpur area, shortly after a passenger train had passed the location.

North Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan confirmed that operations restarted once technical teams completed repairs and safety inspections.

Railway authorities filed a complaint against unidentified individuals at the Ramsinghpur police station, and a case has been registered.

The investigation has been assigned to Sri Ganganagar Circle Officer (City) Nitin Chaudhary, an IPS officer, as police have detained several suspects for questioning.

The Bomb Disposal Squad and investigative agencies inspected the site to collect evidence, though investigators have not yet established the motive or those responsible for the blast.
