Apni Party president vows to engage government for people's rights

Mohd Altaf Bukhari called on party workers to support citizens facing uncertainty and insecurity in Jammu and Kashmir.

Apni Party president Mohd Altaf Bukhari called on his party leaders and workers to support the public during a period of growing insecurity and despair, according to the Daily Excelsior.

Addressing a provincial-level meeting in Srinagar on November 5, Bukhari stated that Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing serious political uncertainty. He attributed the rising anxiety among citizens to the failures and misgovernance of the elected government.

Bukhari said that people have lost confidence in traditional political parties due to unfulfilled promises and a failure to deliver results. He noted that the public feels deep disappointment regarding their future.

The Apni Party president said his party has decided not to be a silent spectator to the current situation. He stated that the party intends to engage with the Government of India to protect the interests and rights of the people.

Bukhari emphasised that the party must provide leadership and guidance to help restore public confidence. He said the party's role is to raise grievances and work toward a more secure future for the region.

The meeting was attended by senior party leaders including Javaid Mustafa Mir, Mohd Syed Akhoon, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Hilal Ahmad Shah, and Abdul Majeed Paddar.
