Transport department and Maruti Suzuki sign MoU for driving test tracks
The initiative will establish 12 automated driving license test tracks across the state as part of the company's corporate social responsibility.
The Transport Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with car-maker Maruti Suzuki on Thursday to establish 12 automated driving license test tracks in the state, according to The Hindu.
The project is an initiative of Maruti Suzuki’s corporate social responsibility. The new tracks will be located in Kondapur, Uppal, Nagole, Medchal, Karimnagar, and Ibrahimpatnam.
These testing tracks will be equipped with HD cameras, RFID sensors, real-time analytics, and an integrated IT system. This setup will create a computerised system based on prevailing rules and regulations.
The automated tracks are intended to ensure compliance with the Central Motor Vehicle Rules.
