Visakhapatnam to host India-Sri Lanka ODI on December 13

The match was moved from New Delhi to Andhra Pradesh after the DDCA cited air pollution concerns in the national capital.

Visakhapatnam will host an India-Sri Lanka One Day International (ODI) cricket match on December 13, according to The Hindu. The fixture was originally scheduled for New Delhi but has been moved to the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) requested the venue change from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) due to concerns regarding air pollution in New Delhi. The BCCI has reportedly accepted this request.

Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Secretary Sana Satish Babu confirmed the development and thanked the BCCI. He stated that the association has been making continuous efforts to secure international matches for the state.

Satish Babu said that while the ACA had not secured any matches so far in 2026, the allotment is a result of their ongoing efforts. He added that the ACA has started preparations to ensure necessary arrangements and amenities are in place.

The stadium last hosted an international match on December 6, 2025, when India played South Africa in an ODI. The upcoming match features Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who have been playing in the ODI format.
