Bihar: Chief Minister orders monthly meetings with entrepreneurs to resolve grievances
The state government aims to speed up industrial issue resolution by involving district magistrates and police superintendents in regular business interactions.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has instructed the state industries minister and district officials to conduct frequent meetings with business owners, according to Urban Acres.
Speaking at the 82nd annual function of the Bihar Industries Association (BIA), Choudhary told Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh to hold monthly sessions with entrepreneurs. He requested that their feedback be included when new industrial policies are being drafted.
The Chief Minister also asked district magistrates and superintendents of police to hold similar discussions within their districts. These meetings are intended to help businesses address local administrative, land, and law-and-order issues more quickly.
Choudhary noted that approximately 1,000 industrial units reached the implementation stage over the last year. He also mentioned that several long-standing issues regarding Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority land have been settled.
Addressing a request for a specific pharmaceutical policy, the Chief Minister asked industry representatives to create and submit a draft proposal to the government. The state will consider the policy once the draft is received.
The BIA event also presented 2025-26 memorial awards to Patel Agri Industries, Banke Bihari Foods, Badshah Industries, and former BIA president Arun Agrawal.
