Opposition attempting to destabilise TVK-led government, says Manickam Tagore
The TNCC president alleged that opposition parties are approaching MLAs to create uncertainty and undermine state development.
TNCC president Manickam Tagore alleged on Thursday that opposition parties are trying to destabilise the TVK-led government by approaching its MLAs, according to The Hindu.
Tagore supported allegations made by Minister C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar that the DMK and AIADMK are attempting to poach TVK MLAs with support from the BJP. He stated that those who lost power are trying to disturb the government.
The TNCC president said senior leaders from the DMK, AIADMK, and the BJP have repeatedly questioned the stability of the administration. He noted that the Chief Minister has provided a clean administration for the past four months.
Regarding claims made by Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh about foreign funding for protests in Delhi, Tagore said Singh should file a police complaint if he possesses evidence. He stated that such baseless claims must stop.
Tagore further claimed that the BJP is using misinformation to shift focus away from allegations regarding electoral malpractice.
