Praful Patel meets Sharad Pawar in Mumbai hospital
Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel visited the NCP (SP) chief to enquire about his health and rejected claims of political talks.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Praful Patel met NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar at Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai on Thursday to enquire about his health, according to reports by Deccan Herald and Rediff.
The 85-year-old NCP (SP) leader was admitted to the south Mumbai hospital on Wednesday following his discharge from Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, where he had been receiving treatment since Monday.
Patel told reporters that he meets Pawar and Supriya Sule on and off because they share family ties.
Addressing rumours regarding the nature of the visit, Patel rejected speculations of political discussions, stating that the hospital is not a place to talk politics.
News18 Marathi reported that Pawar enquired with Patel about his recent visit to Delhi.
The visit follows a meeting on Sunday between Patel, other senior NCP leaders, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
