Bhopal man suspected of killing four family members before suicide
Preliminary police findings suggest Narendra Sahu killed his mother, wife, and two children before jumping in front of a train.
A 35-year-old man, identified as Narendra Sahu, allegedly killed his mother, wife, and two minor children in Bhopal before dying by suicide on Monday, according to The Assam Tribune.
The four victims were found in a multi-storey building near the Gaur Marriage Garden area in the Chhola Mandir police station limits. Their bodies were discovered with their throats slit open.
Sahu's body was later found on a railway track in the Chopra Kalan area, which falls under the Sukhia Sewania police station jurisdiction. He is suspected to have jumped in front of a moving train.
The deceased family members have been identified as Sahu's mother Saraswati Sahu (50), his wife Somlata Sahu (29), his daughter Kriti Sahu (10), and his son Khush Sahu (6).
While the case was initially thought to be a mass suicide, investigators are now looking into the suspected killings. No suicide note has been found at the scene so far.
Police officials stated that an investigation is underway to determine the motive. Authorities are examining whether mental pressure, financial issues, or family disputes led to the incident.
