Netanyahu is pressuring Trump to launch nuclear strike on Iran, claims Carlson
US commentator Tucker Carlson alleged that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is lobbying President Donald Trump to target an Iranian nuclear facility.
US political commentator Tucker Carlson has alleged that President Donald Trump may authorise a nuclear strike on Iran within days. According to a report by Greater Kashmir, Carlson claimed on X that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pressuring the US administration to attack an underground nuclear facility at Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran.
Carlson stated that Israeli intelligence believes Iran has restarted its uranium enrichment programme at the facility. He argued that because the site is buried under approximately 300 feet of granite, conventional American weapons cannot destroy it, leaving a nuclear strike as the only military option.
The commentator alleged that Netanyahu has been lobbying Trump personally, quoting an unnamed source who said the Israeli leader calls Trump every day. Carlson suggested Netanyahu's domestic political struggles, including the need to secure 61 seats to form a government, are driving this push for military action.
Carlson further claimed that Netanyahu sought support from the United Arab Emirates during a secret visit to Abu Dhabi on September 27, but the Emiratis refused to join the lobbying effort. He warned that a ground-level nuclear explosion at the site could contaminate the Persian Gulf and threaten the water supply of 100 million people.
While Carlson claimed Trump might decide by November 7 whether to use nuclear weapons, he noted that Vice-President JD Vance and US envoy Steve Witkoff favour a negotiated settlement. The Associated Press reported that US officials have urged Middle Eastern allies to prepare for possible renewed strikes, though that report did not mention nuclear weapons.
