Bhagavad Gita teachings can guide ethical leadership and management, say speakers

Speakers at a national seminar in Vijayawada highlighted the importance of integrating ancient wisdom with modern professional practices for sustainable development.

Addressing a national seminar in Vijayawada on Tuesday, Swami Sarveshananda of Chinmaya Mission said the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita offer insights into ethical leadership and responsible decision-making.

According to The Hindu, the two-day seminar on ethical leadership and management was organised by the School of Management at Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University).

Swami Sarveshananda suggested that ethical values should be incorporated into professional practices and modern education to support a progressive nation.

Swami Vedavyasapriya Maharaj noted that while globalisation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution have changed the business environment, objectives should align with ethical values and sustainable development.

The speakers noted that technology should support human judgement and responsibility rather than replacing it, especially with the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The seminar also focused on the importance of quality education and inclusive growth to reach the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
