The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place on November 20 and 21 at the Madan Kurkalang Sports Complex in Bhoirymbong, according to The Sentinel. The event is organised by the Meghalaya tourism department and management agency Rockski.
The festival's theme is Year of Generations, aiming to bridge nostalgic eras with contemporary global youth trends. Organisers moved the location to the Bhoirymbong arena to manage an expected footfall of more than 50,000 attendees.
The music lineup features R&B artist Nelly, pop-punk band Boys Like Girls, Darshan Raval, and ALTEGO on Day 1. Day 2 will include Khalid, Swae Lee, Galantis, and Elliot James Reay.
Festivities will begin on November 19 with the International Music Summit at the Courtyard by Marriott Shillong. The event will also feature the Cherry Blossom FIT CHECK Contest, which has a ₹20 lakh prize pool.
