Couple spends ₹75,500 to relocate from Bengaluru to Goa

Radhika and Ekansh shared a breakdown of their additional moving expenses after moving to Goa for a slower-paced life.

A couple, Radhika and Ekansh, spent ₹75,500 on additional relocation expenses to move from Bengaluru to Goa, according to a report by Business Today.

The pair, who have been documenting their relocation on Instagram, shared a breakdown of the costs involved in setting up their new life. Moving belongings out of their Bengaluru society and storing them cost ₹15,000, while transporting luggage to Goa cost ₹24,000.

Road trip expenses, including petrol, car servicing, and PUC certification, amounted to ₹10,000. They also spent ₹5,000 on petrol while travelling across Goa to look for houses. Food expenses, including groceries and eating out, totalled ₹12,000.

The couple spent approximately ₹9,500 to make their new home functional, which included hiring a plumber and a carpenter and setting up a washing machine and air conditioner. They spent ₹45,000 on Airbnb accommodation during a three-week house search, but did not include this in the relocation total as it was comparable to their Bengaluru rent.

Radhika and Ekansh stated that the ₹75,500 cost was worth it, noting that people often spend ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 on a five-day trip to Goa. The couple had shared their decision to leave Bengaluru in September to pursue their dream of building a new life.
