Iran unveils billboard in Tehran threatening to kill US President Trump

The display in Enghelab Square features images of Donald Trump behind bars as regional tensions continue to rise.

Iran unveiled a massive billboard in Tehran on Tuesday declaring “We will kill Trump”, according to Moneycontrol. The installation was placed above Enghelab Square and depicted US President Donald Trump with his head bowed behind bars.

Nearby displays showed Trump, US Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with bloodied faces and ragged clothing. A crowd gathered in the square carrying banners that read “There will be blood” and waving red flags.

The demonstrators called for revenge following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during US-Israeli strikes on February 28. These strikes triggered the current regional war.

In northern Tehran at Tajrish Square, an exhibition included paintings of Trump and a life-sized replica of a jail cell. An actor impersonating the US President spent the day inside the cell while a screen showed damage from US strikes on Iran.

Iranian authorities have accused Trump of intentionally hitting civilian locations, such as a wedding ceremony and a school, resulting in many deaths including women and children. Trump has stated that a deal with Tehran “could happen”.

The displays appear as diplomatic attempts to bring Washington and Tehran to negotiations increase. The ongoing conflict has impacted global prices and coincides with US midterm elections on Tuesday.
