Apple expands Siri AI capabilities in iOS 27.3 beta update
The new software update introduces Audio Intelligence for Apple Watch and a redesigned Health app for beta testing.
Apple is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac, according to a report by The Indian Express. The iOS 27.3 beta includes expanded Siri AI features that allow users to perform complex tasks like organising files, finding visited places, and coordinating plans with friends.
The Siri AI feature is available for testing across 16 apps, including Mail, Calendar, Files, Maps, Messages, Music, and Safari. Apple is also increasing language support for the assistant, adding Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, and Norwegian to its existing options.
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 users will receive Audio Intelligence features. This includes Live Rewind, which allows users to recall the previous 15 seconds of a conversation by double-tapping the Digital Crown to see a text snippet.
The update also brings a redesigned Health app for beta testing. The app uses Apple Intelligence to provide personalised insights from health data and introduces new features such as Health Age and movement assessments.
For fitness users, the company is introducing Fitness+ Gym Strength, which offers personalised four-week strength-training plans. Safari will also receive improvements such as vertical tabs and an Adaptive Dark Mode that applies a dark appearance to websites that do not natively support it.
Apple is opening Siri AI to developers through a new preview in the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, and visionOS 27.3 betas. The company expects to start accepting App Store submissions with these integrations in spring 2027.
