Apple releases iOS 27.3 beta 1 with expanded Siri AI access

The developer beta allows app developers to integrate content and actions into the rebuilt conversational Siri assistant.

Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 27.3, which includes a new Developer Preview that allows any app developer to plug content and actions into the rebuilt Siri AI, according to The Times of India.

The update enables apps to use Siri AI's personal context, onscreen awareness, and natural language understanding through App Intents. Users can reportedly ask Siri to perform tasks like checking a delivery or booking a table in plain words without opening the specific app.

The beta also features a redesigned Health app that returns after being removed from iOS 27.2 betas. This version includes new Insights and Longevity tabs, as well as a Health Age estimate.

Other updates in the iOS 27.3 beta include vertical tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode for Safari. Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 users can test Live Rewind and Siri Recap, while Siri AI adds support for Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, and Norwegian.

Apple stated that these features should reach customers in a few months, with App Store submissions opening in spring. The company noted that server-side Siri AI features will have daily usage limits and expanded access may come for a fee in the future.

Siri AI remains unavailable to users under 13 and is not available in the EU on iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. The public release of iOS 27.3 is expected in December.
