CENTAC begins application process for NEET 2026 special stray round
Candidates can apply for 62 MBBS and BDS seats in private medical and dental colleges in Puducherry until November 8.
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has opened applications for the Special Stray Round counselling for MBBS and BDS courses in private medical and dental colleges in Puducherry, according to Medical Dialogues.
UG-NEET-qualified candidates can submit fresh applications for unfilled seats from 02 to 08 November 2026, until 5.00 pm. A total of 62 seats are vacant across three institutions.
The vacancies include 35 MBBS Management Quota seats at SVMCRI in Puducherry, 26 BDS Management Quota seats at SVDC in Puducherry, and one BDS Government Quota seat at MINDS in Mahe.
Applicants must submit their willingness, select course preferences, and pay the full tuition fee as a registration fee. Existing candidates can submit course preferences between 04 and 08 November 2026.
CENTAC stated that if a student receives a seat in this round but does not take up the admission, the full tuition fee for that course will be lost. For SC, ST, EBC, and GSS candidates allotted under the Government Quota, the registration fee of Rs 50,000 for MBBS and BDS will be forfeited.
Those who fail to join an allotted seat will also be barred from future counselling rounds and prevented from sitting for the UG NEET exam next year.
