The BJP central leadership will make a decisive call regarding an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) while keeping the interests of Punjab at heart, according to The Tribune.
Former Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar shared these views in an interview with The Tribune Associate editor Aditi Tandon.
Jakhar said the state was ready for the BJP, claiming that the Congress party has no footing in Punjab and the incumbent AAP is running on propaganda.
The former BJP president also expressed his willingness to contest assembly elections if he is asked to do so.
