Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes says players do not need to save jobs

The Portuguese midfielder spoke after the club ended a nine-game winless streak with a 3-2 comeback victory against Roma.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes stated that the players do not need to save anyone's job after the club defeated Roma 3-2 in the Champions League. According to The Indian Express, the win ended a run of nine matches without a victory for the English club.

The comeback victory was driven by one goal from Fernandes and two goals from Matheus Cunha. The result places the club near the middle of the Champions League table in the play-off qualifiers.

Fernandes addressed his recent exclusion from the lineup against Bournemouth, which some attributed to his criticism of manager Michael Carrick's tactics during a match against Como. The captain said the decision to bench him was fair because he had not been performing well.

The midfielder noted that even if his previous comments regarding the staff's tactical decisions were seen as the reason for his benching, he would accept it. He said the manager makes the decisions and he must move forward.

Fernandes added that the situation does not affect his belief in the manager, the staff, or his teammates. He maintained his goal to win every upcoming game.
