Yogi Adityanath targets Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in Gorakhpur
The Chief Minister claimed the two leaders seek excuses for election losses instead of accepting their failures during a BJP rally.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticised Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav during the BJP's 'Save democracy, remove chaos' rally in Gorakhpur on Wednesday, according to Bhaskar English. Adityanath stated that the two leaders look for excuses after losing elections, such as blaming EVMs or the SIR process, rather than accepting their own failures.
The Chief Minister also questioned how many times the Congress would launch Rahul Gandhi, adding that the fire in Gandhi has gone out. The rally was part of an event where nearly 50,000 people were expected to participate in the 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' march on 4 November.
BJP national president Nitin Nabin was scheduled to attend as the chief guest, alongside State President Pankaj Chaudhary. The march was planned to cover approximately 2 kilometres, concluding near the Sardar Patel statue at Golghar Kali Temple where leaders would garland the statue.
Preparations for the event continued throughout Tuesday at MP Inter College, where soil was spread on the grounds due to rain accumulation. BJP regional president Vinod Rai expressed that the march would see a massive turnout of people.
Workers from all 12 organisational districts of the Gorakhpur region were invited to the event. A meeting of the state core committee has also been scheduled in Gorakhpur.
