Rahul Gandhi arranges eye treatment in Delhi for Madhya Pradesh student

The Congress MP fulfilled a promise made to Priyanka Sengar during a youth outreach programme held in Indore on September 19.

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has arranged medical treatment in Delhi for a student from Madhya Pradesh, according to the Deccan Herald.

The student, Priyanka Sengar, had raised concerns about an eye problem during the 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' programme in Indore on September 19. During the youth outreach event, Gandhi invited students on stage to discuss issues such as education and employment.

Supriya Shrinate, chairperson of the Congress Social Media and Digital Platforms Department, stated on X on Tuesday that Sengar had suffered an eye problem in childhood after a lime fell into her eye. Shrinate said the family's financial constraints had prevented treatment.

The Congress party shared a video on Tuesday showing Sengar looking out of an aircraft window while returning home by plane for the first time after her recovery.

Gandhi shared the video on X with the caption, "Thank you, Rahul Bhaiya Ji."
