Bihar minister calls Rahul Gandhi coward over Modi debate challenge

Cooperative Minister Ram Kripal Yadav criticised the Leader of Opposition for avoiding parliamentary discussions in favour of public challenges.

Bihar Cooperative Minister Ram Kripal Yadav criticised Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday for challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a debate. According to The News Mill, Yadav accused Gandhi of lacking the courage to participate in formal parliamentary discussions.

Yadav stated that Gandhi is a coward who avoids debating in the Parliament, which he described as the designated venue for such matters. He questioned if Gandhi believed he could hold his own in a debate on the streets rather than in the House.

The remarks followed a renewed challenge from Gandhi for a public debate regarding allegations of foreign connections. Gandhi invited the Prime Minister to select any venue and suggested appointing RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat as the judge.

In a post on X, Gandhi urged the Prime Minister to debate on whether the Opposition is anti-national and who has connections with foreign forces. He proposed a format where both leaders sit across a table.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh also criticised Gandhi, calling him 'Chirkut' and questioning if he thought the people of India were fools. Singh suggested Gandhi should accept a challenge from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and hold the discussion in Parliament.

West Bengal leader Dilip Ghosh remarked that Gandhi has been launching attacks for 12 years and suggested the Prime Minister would not have the time to engage in a debate.
