Revanth Reddy asks officials to collect student feedback on school uniforms

The Chief Minister reviewed the distribution of uniforms and kits for students in government schools and hostels on Wednesday.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to gather feedback from students regarding the colours and designs of their uniforms, according to The Hindu.

The Chief Minister made these instructions during a review of the distribution of uniforms and student kits for those in government schools, residential schools, and hostels.

Mr. Reddy noted that this year's uniforms are of better quality and feature more attractive designs than previous versions, but he wants to ensure future procurement reflects student preferences.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that the distribution of items such as shoes, socks, bags, and identity cards is almost finished, with some institutions reaching 95 per cent completion.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to complete the remaining distribution quickly and to create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for next year's procurement process.

This SOP should cover tendering, supply, and distribution with strict timelines to ensure all kits are ready on the first day of the new academic year.
