Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy requested support from the Yadav community for major infrastructure projects during the Sadar Sammelanam in Hyderabad.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated on Wednesday that the Telangana government intends to transform the state into the fastest-developing region in India. Speaking at the annual Sadar Sammelanam in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister asked for the backing of the Yadav community to complete several flagship infrastructure works, according to reports by ANI and The News Mill.
Reddy identified the Musi Riverfront Rejuvenation, the expansion of the Metro Rail Phase-2 network, and the construction of the greenfield Bharat Future City as key projects requiring community support. He said the administration is already progressing with these developments.
The Chief Minister noted that the Congress-led government has maintained the political representation of the Yadav community. He cited the elevation of Anil Kumar Yadav to the Rajya Sabha, the election of Naveen Yadav as an MLA, and the appointment of Eshwaramma Yadav to the Yadagirigutta Temple Board as examples of this representation.
Reddy also mentioned that the state government has sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the Sadar festival and has officially designated the Sadar Sammelanam as a state festival. He described the event as a celebration of self-respect for all people in Telangana.
The Chief Minister highlighted the community's historical connection to the region, noting that the Golconda Fort was once known as 'Gollamkonda'. He also mentioned that the government is making arrangements for cow protection at the Yadagirigutta Goshala.
Regarding social policy, Reddy said the state's comprehensive caste census serves as a pioneering model for social justice across the country.
