Apple reports record revenue in India and strong global Q4 results

CEO John Ternus noted that demand for iPhones and Macs in India has reached an all-time high during the September quarter.

Apple Inc. reported its highest-ever revenue in India during the July-September quarter, according to reports from Bhaskar English and Business Today. CEO John Ternus disclosed that demand for iPhones and Macs in India is at an all-time high, though he did not reveal the specific revenue amount for the country.

The company's global revenue rose 12 per cent to $114.5 billion in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2026, up from $102.5 billion in the same period last year, according to News18. Apple earned $30.71 billion in profit, or $2.10 per share, during this period.

Ternus noted that India serves as an important growth engine for the company. He also announced that Apple has launched Apple Pay in India in partnership with Axis Bank to enable secure digital payments for iPhone users.

Despite the growth, Ternus admitted to Reuters that the company is currently unable to meet customer demand for the new iPhone Duo foldable smartphone. He stated that the company cannot yet predict when supply and demand will be in balance.

Ternus also addressed reports of display issues with the iPhone Duo, claiming a small fraction of units were impacted and that replacements have been offered to eligible customers. Apple had previously asked affected users to contact AppleCare regarding inner-display issues.

The company's global active installed base has reached more than 2.5 billion devices. Additionally, more than 50 per cent of customers who bought an iPad or Apple Watch during this period were first-time purchasers, according to company data.
