Delhi Police Crime Branch questions CJP leaders
Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka appeared for questioning regarding alleged protest site violations at Jantar Mantar on October 13.
Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka appeared before the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Thursday, according to reports by Rediff, Deccan Herald and The Pioneer.
The two leaders reached the Crime Branch office in Rajouri Garden around 11 am to be questioned by a team of officers.
The investigation concerns two first information reports (FIRs) registered at the Connaught Place and Parliament Street police stations. These cases were later transferred to the Crime Branch.
The FIRs relate to an alleged violation of restrictions at Jantar Mantar on October 13, where CJP members allegedly entered a denotified protest site and unfurled the national flag.
Both Das and Ranka had previously been summoned to join the probe but had sought more time and did not appear at those earlier instances.
