The state government has conducted two cloud-seeding trials near the airport in the last 15 days to combat worsening air quality.
The Delhi government is exploring the use of artificial rain to address air pollution if levels increase after Diwali and Chhath Puja, according to Times Now and News18.
Government sources told Times Now and Telegraph India that two cloud-seeding trials were conducted near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the last 15 days.
These recent trials were carried out at an altitude of approximately 30,000 metres, which is higher than the 10,000-metre altitude used for cloud-seeding operations last year.
The government is considering additional cloud-seeding exercises on two to three dates, including around Chhath, to induce rainfall and provide temporary relief.
