Divija Paul wins U13 singles title at WTT Youth Contender Chennai

The Assam-based table tennis player also reached the semi-finals of the U15 Mixed Doubles event during the tournament.

India’s top-ranked Under-13 table tennis player Divija Paul won the U13 Singles title at the WTT Youth Contender Chennai 2026, according to The Assam Tribune. The tournament took place from October 23 to 26 in Chennai.

Paul, who represents Adani Sportsline’s ‘Garv Hai’ athlete roster, also reached the semi-finals in the U15 Mixed Doubles category. This victory in Chennai is her second WTT Youth Contender singles gold recently, following a win in the U13 category at Puerto Princesa in the Philippines.

The Assam-based youngster, a Class VII student at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Silchar, has previously won U11 and U13 gold medals at WTT Youth Contender events in Vadodara in 2025 and 2026. She also secured a bronze medal in the U13 Girls category at the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Panchkula earlier this month.

Paul stated that winning in Chennai while wearing the ‘Garv Hai’ jersey is a memorable moment. She thanked Adani Sportsline for their belief in her and said her focus is now on the upcoming Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Championship in Jalandhar.

Adani Sportsline has supported Paul through its ‘Garv Hai’ initiative since September 2026. The support includes providing professional gear, assistance for travel to local and international matches, and access to strength and conditioning resources to help her reach her goal of winning an Olympic gold medal.
