Commuters are advised to avoid certain routes near Charminar due to anticipated crowds at Bhagyalakshmi Temple during Diwali.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the Charminar area from November 6 to 11. According to reports from Telangana Today and Urban Acres, the advisory comes because of the anticipated increase in devotees visiting the Bhagyalakshmi Temple during Diwali celebrations.
Traffic congestion is expected on the Madina–Charminar, Murgi Chowk–Charminar, and Rajesh Medical Hall–Shah Ali Banda–Charminar stretches. The police have requested commuters to avoid these specific routes where possible.
Devotees visiting the temple have been advised to use designated parking facilities rather than approaching the Charminar precinct directly in private vehicles. Available parking includes Mufeed-ul-Anam School Ground, Sardar Mahal Road, Charminar Bus Terminal, Unani Hospital premises, SYJ Complex, MJ Bridge, Government City College, and QQ Stadium.
Additional parking areas have been identified along Khilwath Road. The police have asked commuters to follow traffic signage and instructions from personnel deployed in the area.
