Actors should show grace regarding entourage costs, says KC Bokadia

The veteran filmmaker praised Amitabh Bachchan and others for not making producers pay their staff salaries while criticising modern demands.

Veteran filmmaker KC Bokadia said that actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Rajinikanth never made producers pay for their staff salaries, according to the Hindustan Times.

Speaking to ANI, Bokadia urged contemporary actors to show consideration towards producers regarding entourage costs and to reach the level of grace shown by those senior stars.

The filmmaker noted that some actors today demand between four and 10 vanity vans and expect producers to bear the expenses of their personal staff.

Bokadia also commented on high crew salaries, stating that some individuals, including a manager and someone who makes tea, reportedly charge Rs 1.5 lakh a day.

He mentioned that people often charge between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh for a day's shoot, with no one charging less than Rs 50,000.

The director, who has worked with stars like Dharmendra and Jeetendra, said that some people now demand vanity vans equipped with gyms instead of standard models.
