Telangana Climate Conclave to be part of Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026

The event on December 8 will bring together 200 scientists, experts, and farmers to discuss drought-resistant agriculture and water security.

The Telangana Climate Conclave will be a special feature of the forthcoming Invest Telangana Global Summit – 2026, according to The Hindu. Scheduled for December 8, the conclave is expected to involve nearly 200 scientists, farmers, and experts from related fields.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy requested an exclusive discussion on climate change and the challenges posed by El Nino during the summit. The discussions aim to plan short and long term measures to tackle climate change and create a special action plan for environmental changes.

The conclave will cover topics including biodiversity, drinking water security, animal husbandry, and agriculture patterns that can withstand droughts. It will also address the conversion of waste to wealth.

During a meeting with senior officials on Thursday, Chief Minister Reddy reviewed summit arrangements and suggested appointing a liaison officer for every participant. He also directed that registration and pass issuance be completed at the airport upon arrival.

Officials have been directed to finalise a comprehensive plan for the event by November 15. Of the 575 firms invited to the summit, 49 have expressed interest in attending.

The summit will include the Raksha Expo for defence, aerospace, and cyber security, alongside a Telangana Innovation Challenge. Applications for the innovation challenge will be accepted until November 20.
