DMK criticises TVK for missing INDIA bloc rally in Delhi

Deputy general secretary A Raja accused the Vijay-led party of showing loyalty to fascist forces after they missed the protest.

DMK deputy general secretary A Raja criticised the ruling TVK on Monday for its absence from the INDIA bloc rally in New Delhi. The rally was held against alleged vote theft and CEC Gyanesh Kumar, according to The New Indian Express.

In a social media post, Raja accused the party led by Vijay of displaying loyalty towards "fascist forces." He also questioned the party's silence on issues raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai questioned if the TVK is genuinely part of the INDIA bloc. He noted that the party has not participated in alliance meetings or national level protests.

Annadurai claimed that Rahul Gandhi's image has weakened after entering an opportunistic understanding with the TVK for ministerial positions. He stated that while Congress leaders claim the TVK and Vijay are with them, nothing has been done for them.

Raja concluded his remarks by invoking Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. He asked whether the Congress, which claims ownership of secularism, had abandoned its self-respect.
