Shah Rukh Khan unveils first song from King featuring Ed Sheeran
The track Tu Mil Jaaye, featuring vocals by Arijit Singh and an English rap by Ed Sheeran, was released on Monday.
The first song from the upcoming film King, titled Tu Mil Jaaye, was released in Mumbai on Monday to mark the 61st birthday of actor Shah Rukh Khan, according to Telangana Today.
British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran revealed on Instagram that he wrote and recorded his English rap verse for the track on the same night he was introduced to composers Sachin-Jigar during a recent visit to India.
The song features vocals by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi, with music composed by Sachin-Jigar and lyrics by Kumaar. The music video includes Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Sheeran noted that the collaboration grew from a long friendship with Khan, who had previously suggested the singer record a track for his next film.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King features Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Arshad Warsi.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide cinematic release on December 24, 2026.
