UP branch of IIPA named best branch for 2025-26
The Uttar Pradesh regional branch of the Indian Institute of Public Administration ranked first among 25 branches nationwide.
The Uttar Pradesh regional branch of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) has been named the institute's best branch for the 2025-26 period, according to Mint and Hindustan Times. The branch secured the top position among 25 branches across the country.
Vice-President and IIPA president C P Radhakrishnan presented the award at the institute's headquarters in New Delhi. R Ramani, the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh branch, and honorary secretary K Ravinder Naik accepted the recognition on behalf of the unit.
The award recognises the branch's work in training, administrative capacity building, and academic discussions regarding public administration and public interest. The IIPA was established by the Government of India to promote good governance, administrative reforms, and public welfare.
Chairman R Ramani stated that the award reflected the collective efforts of the branch's employees, members, associates, and office-bearers. He noted that the achievement was not due to any single individual and encouraged members to maintain their commitment to keep the branch's position in future years.
The ceremony was attended by Union minister Jitendra Singh and IIPA director general Surendra Kumar Bagde. While the recognition follows the Uttar Pradesh government's focus on transparency and public welfare under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the award was conferred by the IIPA based on the branch's own institutional performance.
