Revanth Reddy sets November 20 deadline for skills university campus
The Chief Minister directed officials to complete the Young India Skills University campus before the Invest Telangana Global Summit begins in December.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has established a November 20 deadline for the completion of the Young India Skills University (YIKU) campus at Bharat Future City, according to the Deccan Chronicle.
The campus will serve as the venue for the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, which is scheduled to take place from December 7 to 9. The summit is expected to host over 2,000 international delegates, including various global company CEOs.
During an inspection of the campus on October 19, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to use the university building for the event. The government is using permanent facilities this year, such as nine seminar halls and 13 meeting halls that are nearing completion, instead of the temporary structures used during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025.
The university will retain these halls for academic purposes after the summit concludes to prevent spending on temporary infrastructure. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju recently reviewed summit arrangements and publicity, directing officials to increase awareness through hoardings in Hyderabad and state-wide campaigns.
Jaju also suggested involving the public through sporting events and a 10K Run. He stated that all departments must coordinate to demonstrate the state's infrastructure and investor-friendly ecosystem to national and international audiences.
