Bodycam video shows Russian double-tap bombing in Zaporizhzhia village

At least 40 people died in Kamyshuvakha after nine gliding bombs hit an aid centre and an underground shelter on Monday.

A bodycam video released by Ukraine police shows the moments between two Russian bomb strikes that killed at least 40 people in the southern village of Kamyshuvakha, according to BBC News.

The footage, taken from the camera of a deceased police officer, captures residents moving to an underground shelter following an initial attack on Monday in the Zaporizhzhia region.

A military official is heard on a two-way radio warning police of more glide bombs being launched towards the village. One officer is seen telling residents to quickly go to the shelter.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said nine aerial bombs were dropped by Russia, hitting those receiving humanitarian aid first, followed by rescuers and police officers who arrived at the scene.

Zelensky stated that more than 30 people may still be under the rubble as search operations continued for the third day. He described the attack as one of thousands of war crimes committed by Russia.

Ukraine said nine gliding bombs, some weighing 3,000kg, hit the village. The shelter was located near a local school used for distributing humanitarian aid.
