CJP activist rejects Jitendra Singh's foreign funding claims
Saurav Das dismissed allegations of cross-border financial backing as baseless after being summoned by the Delhi Crime Branch.
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) activist Saurav Das dismissed claims on Thursday that his movement receives funding from overseas networks as fabricated, according to reports by ANI and The Economic Times.
The dispute follows statements by Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh, who alleged that CJP activists receive financial support from unauthorised foreign sources, deep state operatives, and anti-India organisations.
Singh specifically accused activists Abhijeet Dipke and Ashutosh Ranka of getting money from US-based donors and Pakistani politicians, according to The News Mill.
Das challenged the government to provide proof, stating that no evidence or justification has been provided since the movement's first press conference on June 3.
The confrontation occurred as Das and Ranka appeared at the Delhi Crime Branch office regarding an investigation into a trespassing case at Jantar Mantar on October 13.
Ranka stated after the investigation that the group would cooperate with law enforcement and maintained that displaying the Tricolour should not be treated as a crime.
