Rajeev Chandrasekhar accused the Congress leader of trying to cause anarchy in India during a social media post.
Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Thursday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of attempting to create anarchy in India. According to reports by Deccan Chronicle, Outlook, and Deccan Herald, Chandrasekhar suggested in a Facebook post that Gandhi should go to Bangladesh to pursue his politics.
The Nemom MLA and former Union Minister of State said Gandhi could take the Jamaat-e-Islami, which he claimed supports the Congress leader, to carry out political activities in Bangladesh. Chandrasekhar asserted that the BJP and 140 crore Indians would protect the country's democracy.
Chandrasekhar alleged that Gandhi is spreading falsehoods to divert public attention and defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further stated that the Congress party has lost the trust of the public and that voters will not support them based on their governance in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Kerala.
The remarks come as Congress-led Opposition parties protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the BJP-led government regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the alleged removal of voters from electoral rolls.
In response, Congress leaders in Delhi said the BJP is unsettled because Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly challenged Prime Minister Modi to a debate regarding who is anti-national. During a rally in Punjab on Wednesday, the Leader of the Opposition stated that Modi would not be able to sustain a debate for five minutes.
